STEPS TO BECOMING A FRANCHISEE
Steps to the Grand Opening of your Submarine House restaurant:
Step 1: INQUIRY
Do you have a craving for food and entertainment, enjoy socializing with people, and a passion to build your own business? Did you answer Yes, Yes and Yes? If so, you are exactly who we are looking for. After you have thoroughly looked over our website and are familiar with our brand, our mission, and what Submarine House has to offer; it’s time to reach out to our team! Visit our Get Started page and provide us with your contact information and a team member will contact you to discuss our franchise and see if we are the right fit for one another.
Step 2: EXPLORATION PHONE CALL
During this call, we want to understand your goals and expectations in opening a business, how quickly you would like to move, if you need financing and more. We will also answer any questions, discuss the franchise process, and discuss the support you can expect from us. At the end of the call, we will send you our franchise brochure and schedule a 2nd call.
Step 3: FRANCHISE APPLICATION
Our second call will review the information from the franchise brochure and answer any additional questions you have from the initial conversation. After this call, we will send you our franchise application. You will complete the application and return it to us.
Step 4: APPLICATION REVIEW
We will review your application. Upon approval of your application, you will be sent our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). The FDD is a complete overview of the franchise; this includes what you can expect from us as the franchisor and what we will expect from you as the franchisee.
Step 5: FRANCHISE DISCLOSURE DOCUMENT REVIEW
After you have had some time to review the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), we will follow up on your interest and dive deeper into financial data, your financial ability, available territories, and more.
Step 6: DISCOVERY DAY
A Discovery Day is an opportunity for everyone to get to know one another. It is important that we feel you are a good fit for the Submarine House family and that you feel we are a good fit for you. We will meet at our Dayton, OH office. During this time, you will tour a location and meet members of our leadership team. We will discuss all questions you may have regarding marketing, training, etc. prior to executing a franchise agreement.
Step 7: EXECUTING YOUR FRANCHISE AGREEMENT
It’s time to execute the agreement! You will pay your franchise fee and sign the franchise agreement.
Step 8: SITE SELECTION & BUILDOUT
Watch your future Submarine House franchise come to life! You will work with our real estate and construction departments for every phase of this process; from finding the location to negotiating the lease, to build out and getting it equipped for opening day.
Step 9: TRAINING
Our training process includes both corporate as well as local restaurant training. This program consists on-site training over a 4-6 week period. After completing training and prior to your opening, we will send our training team to your location 1 week prior to your opening, and they will be with you and your team for no less than 2 weeks after your opening.
Step 10: OPENING YOUR SUBMARINE HOUSE
The day is finally here! After all your hard work, dedication, and preparation, you will finally open your doors to your friends, neighbors, and community. Our team will be with you to help you work out any issues that arise and to answer any questions you or your team may have. Most of all, we will be there to celebrate the start of your exciting journey with Submarine House.
